Exposing how unfit FIFA is
FIFA’s Ethics Committee is the only mechanism the organisation has to hold Infantino – and itself – to account when they abuse their power.
It has no independent regulator, no oversight from governments. As it stands, if you care about the game you have no seat at the table in FIFA’s governance structures – even though they claim to represent the global football community.
But it’s clear the Ethics Committee isn’t fit for purpose. The complaints process is not transparent. Sending one doesn’t compel them to investigate Infantino. And if they do decide to, they don’t have to tell you about it.
That doesn’t matter. Instead, it helps prove our point.
Because Infantino is not the cause of FIFA’s problems, he’s merely the symptom of a truly dysfunctional governance model where a private organisation is both the regulator of world football and the biggest profiteer from it.
It’s a model that has come under surprisingly little scrutiny from politicians and governments who have the power to force FIFA to reform but instead have sat on their hands.
Whether our complaint is upheld or ignored, it helps show them how FIFA’s power cannot continue to go unchecked. They have a responsibility to act, and fast, to properly regulate and reform FIFA for fans around the world.

What our complaint says
We filed our complaint with FIFA on 8 September 2026, with a link to this action so they can see how many people are co-signing.
It asks the Ethics Committee to investigate eight breaches of its Code of Ethics where Infantino has clearly abused his power and violated his duty to be politically neutral, including:
- His attempt to sell off the right to FIFA tournaments to private investors with clear links to President Trump.
- His possible role in the overturning of a red card for Folarin Balogun during the 2026 World Cup.
- Him appearing to act unilaterally and without any statutory authority to create a ‘Peace Prize’ and then awarding it to President Trump.

Why it matters
How Infantino loses his job matters.
He should be fired because he has broken the rules FIFA put in place to protect the integrity of the game, not be forced to resign by the most powerful football associations that pack out FIFA’s Council and the confederations who simply want to preserve the corrupt status quo, rather than hold him or themselves to account.
The power-brokers within FIFA might not care about the rules, but the politicians who can act to regulate them do.
The pressure on FIFA to conduct a proper investigation into Infantino is mounting.
The Norwegian Football Federation have backed our complaint, as have 50 Members of the European Parliament, who have also written to the Ethics Committee.
The complaint has also helped spur two committees in the European Parliament to announce a joint hearing into FIFA. And in spotlighting the issue of political neutrality, US Congress has set up their own investigation into Infantino’s connections to President Trump.
